Sony Ericsson seems to have finally taken to making slim phones with the new Sony Ericsson W350a. It is part of the Walkman series placed at a lower budget but fails to impress fully. The phone has a Walkman music player, camera and stereo Bluetooth. It has GSM and email capability.
The Sony Ericsson W350a has its brilliant display and colour schemes going for it. Available in Black, Blue and White, it has a 1.8 inch display that supports 262,144 colours. The navigation is easy but the flap of the phone presents certain difficulties. It does not boast of the best design and feels flimsy and breakable.
Over all, things have been place awkwardly and the look of a plain mp3 player when the flab is closed is not very appealing. The call quality is poor and the call features fail to deliver. The 1.3 megapixel camera does not have a decent photo quality with very few editing options. The music player has a very tiny speaker which does not allow us to experience the Walkman phone sounds. The settings are also pretty limited. The internal memory is only 14mb so a memory card is a necessity.
The Sony Ericsson W350a clocks in at 7 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time. The phone is not very well designed and the limited features are disappointing but the low price range, it would be a decent buy if having a Walkman phone is not your first priority.
